Esports Awards 2022 Announced: Winners List Is Here

Esports Awards 2022 concluded yesterday and there were some surprise winners as well as some expected winners. The second prestigious gaming awards ceremony in a few days, had the entire gaming community glued to their screens. Many decorated streamers and content creators won some major awards. The event was held at Resorts World in Las Vegas, USA.

As per the official press release, Esports Awards witnessed more than a million viewers. The gaming community tuned in to see their favorite esports and gaming stars being crowned the winners in multiple categories.

Streamer of the Year

One of the biggest awards of the night, Streamer of the Year 2022, was grabbed by history maker, Ibai Llanos. Ibai has now won it three times and is also the first streamer to win it thrice in a row.

Esports Game of the Year

Another big award was given last night, Valorant won the Esports Game of the Year 2022

PC Player of the Year

Oleksandr Olehovych Kostyliev, popularly known as s1mple, is a Ukrainian professional gamer. He is a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player for Natus Vincere.

Mobile Player of the Year

Ceng Zehai is a Chinese player who is currently playing for Nova Esports.

Esports Personality of the Year

Matthew Haag, better known as Nadeshot, won the Esports Personality of the Year Award at the ceremony. Nadeshot is presently the CEO of 100 Thieves, a premier lifestyle brand and gaming organization.

Apparel of the Year

Matthew Haag’s second award of the night, was for his organization, 100 Thieves. They have been crowned the Esports Apparel of the year.

Creative Team of the Year

LOUD is a Brazilian esports organization. Their teams compete in Fortnite, Free Fire, League of Legends, and Valorant.

Panel’s Choice Award

Sapphire won the Panel’s Choice Awards.

Journalist of the Year

Noted esports journalist, Ashley King, was named the Esports Journalist of the year 2022.

Coach of the Year

Andrii “B1ad3” Horodenskyi won the Esports Coach of the Year.

PC Rookie of the Year

m0NESY won the rookie of the year award at the grand event.

Esports Controller Rookie of the Year

Enzo “Seikoo” Grondein won the Esports Controller Rookie of the year.

Publisher of the Year

Broadcast/Production Team of the Year

Content Creator of the Year

Mobile Game of the Year

Content Group of the Year

India-based gaming content creation group S8ul won the Content Group of the Year at the 2022 Esports Awards. S8ul is the first Indian entity to have received an award at the Esports Awards.

Esports Awards: Other Memorable Moments

Legendary hosts Eefje ‘Sjokz” Depoortere and Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez hosted the prestigious awards event. Apart from the awards themselves, the night also witnessed some other memorable moments.

Lexus showcased their LC 500 and NX 350 (100 Thieves NX) cars. In a similar fashion, Coca-Cola unveiled exclusive League of Legends Wild Rift-themed cans. After that, Charity partner Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raised USD $50,000. The audience also witnessed special musical performances by City of Sound and rapper bbno$.

The event was stacked full of legendary names all around, which made it another night to remember by all means. In summary, the night was, in a word, spectacular.
